I Have Sensitive Skin, Can I Still Use Burleigh Minerals?

Our makeup is suitable for sensitive skin types including those who battle with Eczema, Dermatitis and Rosacea. We’ve left out common irritants like synthetic fragrance, parabens and dyes. We're all about keeping things calm, comfy, and clean!

How Do I Choose the Right Shade?

Start by checking out our swatch images to get a feel for each shade. If you’re still unsure, snap a selfie in natural lighting and send it our way. We’re more than happy to help colour match!

If you pick a shade and it’s not quite right, no stress. We’ll sort out a refund or exchange so you can find your perfect match without the pressure.

Is Your Makeup Non-Comedogenic?

Yes, our products are non-comedogenic, which means they won’t clog your pores. 

We’re all about skin that feels as good as it looks, so everything is thoughtfully formulated to be breathable, kind to your skin, and breakout-friendly.

Whether you're going full glam or keeping it low-key, your skin can stay clear, comfy, and happy underneath it all.

Is Your Makeup Vegan?

Yes, our products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free - we do not test on animals or use their by products in our formulas! Just skin-loving goodness that’s kind to your face and our furry friends. We’re all about creating feel-good makeup that fits your values and leaves you glowing, inside and out!

Are Your Products Natural?

Our products are as natural as they possibly can be. We’re all about using beautiful, skin-loving ingredients that come from nature wherever we can. Sometimes a teeny tiny touch of science helps with things like stability or performance, but we keep it clean, conscious, and as close to nature as possible.

Can I Use Burleigh Mineral Layered with my Other Favourite Brands?

Absolutely, you can! Our makeup range is totally fine to use alongside other brands you already love. Mix, match, layer!

Just a little heads-up though: while our products play very nicely on their own, we haven’t tested them with other brands, so we can’t vouch for how they’ll all get along or how the finish will be.

Where Do You Source Your Ingredients From?

Love that you asked! We source Aussie ingredients wherever we possibly can, it’s something we’re super passionate about. If it grows in our own backyard (and meets our high standards), you can bet we’ll be using it.

Is Your Makeup Edible?

Yes, all of the ingredients we use in our lip products are approved worldwide for use on the lips, so no worries if a little ends up where your snacks go (it happens!). While they’re not technically food, they’re made to be safe for those kissable, sippable, snackable moments.

Is Your Mica Ethical Sourced?

We take ethical sourcing very seriously, especially when it comes to mica. All the mica we use is ethically sourced. No child labour, no shady practices.

We’ve gone the extra mile to check in with each of our suppliers and manufacturers to confirm their supply chains meet strong ethical standards. They're all committed to responsible sourcing and are part of the Responsible Mica Initiative, which works hard to improve conditions in mica mining communities and promote traceability and transparency.

While there isn’t a global certification just yet that guarantees mica is 100% free from child labour, we only work with reputable suppliers who take this just as seriously as we do.

Are There Nano Particles in Your Formulas?

We proudly guarantee that every single formulation is 100% nano-free, no sneaky nanoparticles here!

Here’s the quick breakdown:

• Zinc Oxide: Around 310 nanometres (still invisible on the skin, but totally non-nano!)
• Titanium Dioxide: Between 1.2 to 1.7 microns (that’s 1500 nanometres—way bigger than nano!)

Do You Use Synthetic Dyes & Pigments?

There are no synthetic dyes or pigments in our range. We’re all about keeping it clean, kind, and naturally beautiful wherever we can. If you ever want the full ingredient breakdown or have more questions, please let us know! 

Do You Complete Heavy Metal Testing?

All of the pigments and micas we use are tested for heavy metals (as required by law!) and are approved for use in cosmetics worldwide. So you can feel good knowing we’ve ticked all the safety boxes while keeping things gorgeously glowy.

Do You Use Fragrance?

We don’t use any added fragrance in our products! That said, some of our lip goodies do contain a Natural Flavour Oil to give them that yummy little something. 

Are Your Products Organic?

While our products aren’t certified organic, we do use a blend of both organic and non-organic ingredients - always chosen with love, care, and skin-happiness in mind. Our focus is on sourcing the best possible ingredients (organic when we can!) to create beautiful, safe, and effective products that feel amazing to use. 

Where Can I Find The Period-After-Opening (PAO)?

You’ll find the Period-After-Opening (PAO) symbol right on each product’s packaging. It’s that little open jar icon with a number on it (like 6M or 12M). 

Is Your Packaging Recyclable?

You sure can! All of our new packaging is made from fresh materials and is designed to be recyclable.

Dry

Our makeup is fine for dry skin. It won’t cake or cling to dry patches, and it’s free from drying ingredients like alcohol. Just pair it with a good moisturiser underneath and you're good to go!

Acne Prone

Our products are non-comedogenic and don’t contain pore-clogging nasties. So they are great if you have acne prone skin. They’re light and designed with simplicity in mind, no unnecessary extras to cause flare-ups.

Sensitive 

Our makeup is suitable for sensitive skin. We’ve left out common irritants like synthetic fragrance, parabens, and dyes. It’s all about keeping things calm, comfy, and clean.

Eczema

Definitely okay to use. Our formulas are gentle, fragrance-free, and designed to sit comfortably on compromised skin. Of course, patch testing is always a good idea – but many people with eczema do just fine with our range.

Dermatitis 

Yes, our makeup avoids the common triggers that can set off dermatitis. No harsh preservatives, no artificial colours, and no fragrances, just simple, skin-friendly ingredients.

Rosacea 

Totally fine for rosacea-prone skin. We keep things minimal and soothing, and there's nothing in our formulas that’s known to aggravate redness or irritation.

Mature Skin

Yes! Our makeup gives a natural, skin-like finish that doesn’t settle into fine lines. It’s breathable, buildable, and helps even out tone without looking heavy or dry.

Teens

Burleigh Minerals is a great choice for teen skin. Our formulas are clean, gentle, and free from harsh chemicals, making them ideal for everyday wear or special occasions.

Children

Our range is safe for kids to use when needed (like for dance, drama, or dress-up). The ingredients are gentle and natural where possible, with no heavy perfumes or harsh stuff. Just be sure to remove it properly afterwards and keep things light.

Do Your Formulas Include Nuts?

We do have Almond Oil in our Earth Cream. 

As far as we know, there shouldn’t be any issues with any other products for someone with a nut allergy. We don’t use any nut-based ingredients in our other formulations.

That said, it’s always a good idea to do a patch test first, as reactions can happen with any ingredient, even those that aren’t nut-derived. We always want to make sure your skin feels happy and safe.

Salicylates

None of our products contain salicylates.

We’re all about keeping things as gentle, inclusive, and skin-happy as possible. So, if you're avoiding salicylates, you're in the clear with us! If you’ve got any other ingredient questions, we’re always here. 

Can I Shop In Store?

At the moment, we’re an online-only brand. We’ve poured our heart into creating a space where you can scroll and shop. We don’t have plans to hit the shelves right now, but the upside? You get fresh, fabulous products delivered straight to your door.

If I Live Local, Can I Shop at Your Warehouse?

Yes, you absolutely can! Our warehouse is open from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday and you’re more than welcome to pop in. We’ve got testers available, so you can try before you buy and find your perfect match. 

It’s a low-key setup, but a great way to see everything in person and stock up. Hope to see you soon!

Can I Stock Burleigh Minerals in My Store?

We love that you’re keen to stock our goodies! But, at the moment, we’re an online-only brand and we’re keeping things that way (for now!). We have no plans to hit shelves or go wholesale just yet. But, who knows what the future holds? Never say never, right?

Where is Burleigh Minerals Made?

All of our products are proudly made in South Australia! We’re super passionate about keeping things local, from formulating to manufacturing, it all happens close to home.

Do You Offer a Loyalty Program?

We don’t have a loyalty program at the moment, but it's definitely something on our radar for the future. We’re all about showing love to our community, and a rewards program sounds like the perfect way to do just that!

Is Your Makeup Safe for Use During Pregnancy & While Breastfeeding?

As far as we’re aware, all of our products are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There’s no official certification for this just yet, but we’re all about being transparent and keeping things as gentle and clean as possible.

Our full ingredient list for each product is on our website, so you can check them out in more detail if you'd like. It is always a good idea to have a peek and chat to your healthcare provider if you have any specific concerns.

Do You Offer Samples?

We totally get it! Finding your perfect shade online can be a bit of a guessing game sometimes! While we don’t offer samples at the moment, we’re always here to help you figure it out. 

Feel free to send us a selfie in natural light or let us know what you usually wear in other brands, we’ll do our best to match you up with your perfect shade.

Here’s the lowdown on shipping:

Standard Shipping

• Orders under $50 = $9.90 flat rate
• Orders over $50 = FREE standard shipping (yay!)

Express Shipping

• Orders under $50 = $14.90 flat rate
• Orders between $50–$150 = just $5
• Orders over $150 = FREE express shipping, woo!

Returns

Your happiness is our top priority. If you’re not totally in love with something you ordered, we’ll happily organise a refund or exchange.

Just pop in your request within 60 days of your original order, and make sure the product is still mostly unused. Easy as that!
